Our headquarters
A building whose shape evokes a sense of speed, a technological treasure chest flooded with sunlight, a place of well-being for those who work there and a true sight to behold. Bioclimatic architecture, experimentation, urban regeneration and sensory design make ab medica’s headquarters a lively, futuristic place that perfectly reflects the brand’s values.
Inclined walls that are never parallel, narrow passages, meandering corridors: architectural anomalies that make for unexpected and surprising spaces and evoke a feeling of dynamism. Throughout the different spaces there is a perception of continuous change. The walls envelop you, while the height invites you to stoop. Like in a cave, but full of light.
A sensation that can also be felt outside, immersed in gentle hills you can climb until you touch the building.
Environmental sustainability
A class A, cutting-edge and zero net energy building: a clear desire right from its design.
Technological systems that use geothermal energy by means of a hybrid heat pump system.
Groundwater is used for air conditioning and irrigation of green areas, and is also stored in the event of a fire.
The unbroken ventilated façades and a rotating roof that follows the sun make the most of all natural light.
The shape
An iconic and landmark building inspired by the shape of a high-speed motorboat, which expresses the values of excellence and innovation enshrined in the group’s philosophy.
The proximity of the A8 motorway and the unusual shape of the plot lent themselves to a triangular building similar to a boat sailing among green hills. The hills themselves are also a key part of the architectural vision and serve the dual environmentally-friendly purpose of thermal and acoustic insulation.
Feel good
A place of work specifically designed to look after the psychological and physical well-being of its users. From the natural light that floods most areas all year round, to an abundance of green space both inside and out. From workstations alternating with more informal social spaces, to the choice of colour palette designed to reinforce those concepts that are particularly important to ab medica: fluidity, technology, transparency, care and reliability.
