ab medica has an area dedicated to the development of innovative and multidisciplinary technologies. It is the applicatory arm of research projects, the place that opens the door to new treatment possibilities.
A patient-centric approach is adopted in pursuit of a mission to specifically support the healthcare system.
The two most significant projects to date are:
- Cyberbrain, a wireless neural interface for monitoring and stimulating brain activity
- Helmate, a wireless device for receiving and recording electroencephalographic traces
CYBERBRAIN
An implantable electrode for the wireless acquisition and monitoring of bioelectrical signals from the brain. Made of biocompatible polyamide, its potential areas of application include the treatment of epilepsy and the Brain Computer Interface.
HELMATE
A multiparametric helmet that wirelessly receives, records and transfers electroencephalographic traces, allowing the user to move around freely. Brain signals are integrated with other vital signs in a unique and certified system, interacting with telemonitoring platforms.
